WooHoo! Another UFC match-up was yesterday with some good fights.
The ultimate technical fight was the main event with Jackson and Henderson going back and forth for all five rounds. I have to say I’ve never seen a light heavyweight match-up like this go on battling for the duration where it was so hard to determine a clear winner. Could not have been an easy one for the judges. In the end, Jackson retains his UFC title with a unanimous decision.
Cro Cop lost again, not sure if he’ll ever recover from two big losses in a row, in such a short period of time. Kongo wins a unanimous decision.
The most controversial decision last night was between Hamill and Manchester home-town boy favorite Bisping. I had thought that Hamill dominated the entire fight with Hamill being more the aggressor with more take-downs and landing more strikes. The only time Bisping showed any life was in the third round. My friends and I could not fathom the judges decision, a split-decision anyways, to award the win to Bisping. I am disappointed with the judges decision and I really hope they didn’t give the win to Bisping to appease the local English crowd. Maybe they were afraid that soccer would break out?
Looking forward to UFC 76: Knockout, which is only a couple weeks away on September 22nd.
Here are the rest of the results of last nights events.

Ah, looks like we posted our fight results at damn near the same time.
I totally agree with the Hamill fight, what a load of BS. I thought the Rampage fight was a clear win, however. Henderson only had a few instances where he might have won; mostly the Kimora attemps on the ground. The stand-up game was pretty even, with both guys landing a couple of good shots
Once again Hamill Bisping fight being a load of crap. I don’t understand that judging at all. Most of Bispings punches were right into the guard of Hamill so i wouldn’t even count those. How many times was Hamill either working from a front headlock position landing punches to the ribs, or going from a front headlock working for takedowns. I’d like to have a talk with those judges. I don’t see how they came to the conclusion of Bisping being the winner.
I’m in agreement on the Hamill vs. Bisping fight. My wife was watching the event with me and even she thought it was crazy that Bisping won.
Cro Cop seemed very timid throughout his fight, as if he was trying too hard not to make a mistake and get caught by another high kick. He very well could be finished after these two losses, hopefully we will get to see him again though.
those were some good fights.
Great post ! I want to know when you update your blog, where can i subscribe to your blog?
