Halo 3 earned over $170 million dollars in North America within the first 24 hours of its release, eclipsing the weekend opening of every blockbuster movie in history. In fact the film and television industry were blaming Halo 3 for meager ticket sales and low ratings, as everybody was sitting in front of their Xbox 360.
For the first time ever, sales of the Xbox 360 console have beaten sales of the Nintendo Wii and the 360 outsold the Sony PS3 console by a ration of 5 to 1 since the September 25th Halo 3 launch.
A lot of you already know that I’m giving away a Halo 3 Legendary Edition at the end of October. There is now one week left in the contest. So if you haven’t entered you better do it soon. Even if you don’t have an Xbox 360 it would make a great Christmas present. The Legendary Edition comes with an exclusive DVD and a limited edition collectible Spartan helmet (you can’t really wear it it is part of a DVD jewel case holder).

Contest closes at 23:59 hours (one minute before midnight) on October 31st, 2007, that’s right Halloween!
Winner will be selected November 1st, 2007 and the prize will be shipped out pending successful contact with the winner.
In the unlikely event that the winner fails to respond within 48 hours of being notified, a new winner will be randomly selected.
