Think “Wizard of Oz” on crack. That was what I was told when my agent submitted me for this movie starring Richard
Dreyfuss. They are looking for a lot of military types, a la “Mad Max beyond Thunderdome”. So what do I do? I shave my head clean, leave the facial hair and dress up in my black ops gack and head down to the studio to meet the casting director. Once I get to the studio and sign in, the lady in the green room says I don’t need all this stuff, they just wanna see any tattoos and piercings. Huh. I sure came over-prepared.
Got called in and basically had two pictures taken of me topless and asked if I had any other weapons training besides firearms, I mention I dabble in swords and I’ll be starting archery soon. And I’m off. Usually this stuff takes a little longer
and the director usually likes to explain a bit about the movie.
Had fun checking out the artists conceptual drawings on display tho, it really is the OZ on crack. Should be a beautiful movie if they hold true to the art. However, I noticed that it’s a very Caucasian cast, with only one black dude holding the ethnic card. Hope that changes as they continue to cast the rest of the characters.

looks like it’s just you and me who are going to be doing archery. can you do it on tuesday nights?
Man, I’ve been waiting and waiting for everybody else. I should have just gone ahead and taken it like Jason. I’ve been ready for some time now. Jason said he might sign up again but just focus on the longbow.
I’ve done a bit of archery, both regular bows and compound bows. I remember putting an arrow right through a plastic deer and buried it into a wood door that was behind the target.
Hope ya get a part!
You can borrow my guns if you want to take more pictures. lol
They’re short guns as I recall . . .
Well, the M4A1 is a shortened M16 if that’s what you mean.
Very cool. I’ll be looking for the post telling us about how you got the part in the movie. You’re the biggest celebrity that I know (and I don’t even know you, I’m just one of your comment whores). Lol.
I also once knew a guy that knew a guy!
It’s good to know people
As the saying goes, it’s not what you know but who you know.
Traci Lords once said, “It’s not who you know, it’s who you blow.”
What! You didn’t take the goofy ass sword I gave you?
It wouldn’t fit back there, esepciialy with no scabbard I’d just cut my back up really good!
