My Healthy Diet of Specialty Pizzas

Haven’t had much of an appetite lately and I noticed I’m already losing weight. I can’t let that happen cause then people start asking me to model and shit, you know what I mean ;)

Anyways, some of you already know that I work part-time as a loss prevention officer, and most of the people I arrest and deal with are druggies. Drug addicts are the group most likely to carry blood diseases and other yum yum goodies. My work sent me a memo requiring me to get the vaccination for hepatitus A and B. I already had a couple of booster shots a few years ago but I’m supposed to get a set of three, plus they didn’t even have the other two on record. Long story short, the doctor I went to did not want me to unecessarily get the shots unless I needed it, so he sent me off to the lab for some bloodwork to determine my immunity levels. I had to fast for 10 hours, that’s a long time for me considering I normally eat every 3-4 hours. Needless to say after they drained four full vials full (each one bigger than the last!) of my precious life’s blood, I set out for the nearest Pizza Hut pizza to sample some of their newer specialties. Here’s another food review for you all to drool over!

Pizza Hut is currently having the buy 1 get the 2nd half price deal. I ordered two medium pies, a Chicken Lover’s Deluxe imgp3886.JPGwith stuff crust and the new Edge Meaty pizza’s. The Chicken Lover’s Deluxe has slices of oven-grilled chicken breast, green peppers, red onions, mushrooms and mozza cheese, the stuffed crust is filled with processed mozza cheese. The Edge Meaty is new to me, it’s loaded to the “edge” with pepperoni, spicy italian sausage, beef and lots of real mozza cheese.

The chicken was good, normal Pizza Hut fair. Loaded with toppings and lots of flavor, although I expected more chicken. When you have the words “chicken lover” and “deluxe” in the title I expect them to ask me if I would like the head and feet served on the side too. The stuffed crust is always yummy.

I didn’t know what to make of the Edge. It has a very thin crust and IS loaded to the edge with imgp3885.JPGtoppings, but looked kinda funny cause they chopped it up in little pieces. I soon found out the smaller pieces allowed it to be eaten easier and twice as fast as a regular pie! I grew up in an Italian neighborhood so I was used to a thinner, crispier homemade crust anyways. We also used to eat homemade pizzas with a fork and knife, so maybe the smaller slices reflected this. It was really good though and I really liked the Italian seasonings, very strong smells and flavors. The sauce was a tad sweeter than usual too, which worked well with the spicy, smoky meat toppings.

I’m still Chinese, so I finished it off with some nice green tea ;) Sometimes I like to just keep things simple.

I can’t get enough of pizza hut stuff crust. So fatty yet so tasty. If I didn’t have a thing about wasting food I’d just cut off all the crust and chuck the rest of the pizza out. :)

That meat topping looks like rabbit droppings!

BBC – Bacon, Broccoli, Mozzarella Cheese. Uses a sweet mayonnaise as the sauce.
Hawaiian – Canadian Bacon, Pineapple
BBQ Chicken.

Best Pizza place, but they don’t have any fruit or strange toppings :( : http://www.buckspizza.biz/

Ugh, you eat pizza hut by choice? It has been many, many years since I have eated pizza hut and the last time I did I was drunk.

I like the idea of that meaty pizza but Natron has it right on that it looks like rabbit crap on the pizza.

Lol, I actually thought it looked like dried dog food, but it’s the spicy sausage. the meat tends to cling together and that’s what you get. I used to buy premade crusts and make my own pizzas, but that takes one big thing . . . EFFORT! I’m trying to gain weight here! ;)

I’ve never had to try to hard to gain weight unfortunately. I’m in the opposite boat right now as I am trying to clean up my eating habits and follow a healthier eating lifestyle.

For an Asian guy I gain and maintain bulk very easily. I just haven’t been eating much lately and I lose weight really fast too. I don’t want to be skinny. I am and always will be the “big Asian guy”. I look a lot more fit than I am tho, I climbed 3 flights of stairs to get to the laboratory yesterday and I was breathing hard when I finished. Time to work out again.

I don’t know what PIzza Hut has done with their pizza, but it’s definitely better than it was a couple of years ago. It’s not so greasy anymore!

Yeah, Pizza Hut has stopped the deep fried, oil soaked crust thing. It tastes much fresher now.

Hmm, maybe I should give them another try. My kids are always asking for Pizza Hut but I always prefer to go with the local mom/pop shop as their pizza is outstanding but expensive.

I am waiting for your MacDonalds review. :) I thrived one year eating Macs for lunch everyday. When I stopped I turned back into a stick.
