My First Officially Named Crossfit Workout :)

Now that I’m home and relaxed from my Crossfit workout, I’ve managed to gobble down some food and have a nice home-pressed espresso coffee, that’s after the post-workout gag reflexes finally subsided. It was weird tasting what I had for lunch with every wet burp. The workout we did today was a new one without a name. It basically consisted of our regular pre-warm up (10 pull ups, 10 push ups and 10 dips on the rings, 10 kettle bells, 200m row, 10 squats, 10 squat walks forward and back), a warm-up 800m run, and several reps of deadlifts to a max of 235lbs.

Then the actual workout: 60m weighted ball run, 10 weighted ball slams and 15 jumping lifts. Continue the cycle non-stop for 20 minutes. 20 minutes and no rest for the wicked! Half way through I was ready to puke and I was getting some sharp pains around my right kidney. I stated to the trainers that it felt like I was getting kidney punched. Thus was born the “Kidney Punch” workout! :)
