Was in North Vancouver today and decided to pay a visit to the newest addition to the Memphis Blues chain on the upper Lonsdale area. It was piss raining all day so my buddy Fouad (sounds like a terrorist but he’s not, lol) decided to drive. We book it down there and conveniently found parking right in front.
The new Lonsdale Memphis Blues is the largest of the 3 currently in Vancouver, but the food is of the same delicous quality. We decided to get a Combo Platter (choice of two meats and fries or potato salad). Fou wanted pulled pork (he likes to pull his pork) and I wanted ribs, we agreed on fries over the potato salad. The pulled pork was flavorful and tender and the meat on the ribs were falling off the bone. Also comes with the usual sides of coleslaw, pork n’beans and BBQ sauce. The Combo was actually portioned just perfectly for two guys with healthy appetites. By the time we were done, we were comfortably full but not the usual pant-popping full. I didn’t have to wear my buffet pants. The Combo Platter was $20, so $10 each person.
*Sorry for the poorer than usual quality of the photos, I took them on my cell phone then cropped them down to size.
