Keep Your Cell Phone Number but Switch Providers

Today is the first day where Local Number Portability comes into affect for Canadians. If you have been unhappy with your cell phone provider but didn’t want to give up that old number that everybody knows, now is your chance to change companies and be able to keep the number you covet so much.

Although I’ve been pretty happy with my Rogers service, it’s nice to know I’ll have the option to keep my cell phone number that I’ve had since grade 11. It’s good for consumers too, as cell phone companies scramble to come up with deals to keep existing clients.
