So much for making money online, John Chow and his food reviews are contributing to expanding my waistline.
His recent review of Chen’s Shanghai Kitchen inspired me to make my own xiao long bao. Out came my trusty bamboo steamer, passed down from my parents. Actually, they left it at the old house so I took it. But that’s beside the point. I haven’t had some good northern Chinese food in some time and I’m certainly not going to go to Richmond to get some. Instead, I traveled to my local T&T Supermarket and picked up some xiao long bao of my own. About 15 minutes in the steamer and I had some yum, yum dim sum at home.
John Chow is trying to turn my toned physique to one resembling the Pillsbury Dough Boy. “Tee Hee”. Truly Evil.
