One of my buddies used this one:

Buddy walks up to Girl with some ice in his hand.

Drops the ice and proceeds to crush it under his foot.

Buddy says to Girl: Now that I’ve broken the ice……

It was so funny because right after he did that the Girls’ boyfriend/husband/fiance/friend came up behind him and said Hi.

Buddy said Hi, apologized he didn’t see that she was with someone and walked back to our table.
