Leave it to the Food Network to air all its good grilling shows at night. Late-night munchies suck if you can’t satiate them. It used to be a pain in the ass to grill with a flashlight since my patio is not lit.
I made a random visit to Winners as I was picking up some steaks at a nearby supermarket. Lo and Behold! I found a nifty grill light on sale for $20. It is battery operated and features six very bright LED lights. It has a heavy magnetic base to stick to most metal surfaces or, as in my situation, an adjustable clamp to anchor the light. The light also features a cool bendy arm so that it can be pointed in any direction. Handy as an all-purpose light too.
Now I can grill anytime I want
I was so inspired I decided to stock up on stuff to grill, so I made myself some home-made hamburgers. The patties are half lean ground beef and half ground pork. I diced in an ample amount of shallots for some texture and flavour, seasoned with fresh ground pepper, ground sea salt and some dried oregano. I dropped in an egg for binding purposes. Freshness is the key. A good chef is like any artist and must put his signature on his work, in my case I added my thumb print
I also grilled some tasty pork rib steaks. And the serving dish? $3 at Winners. Score!!!
