November 4th marks the first time that we will observe Daylight Savings on the first Sunday of November instead of the last Sunday in October.
At 2AM on Sunday, November 4th, don’t forget to set your clocks and watches back one hour and get some extra snooze time. Most of us are pretty “plugged in” nowadays and computers and phones will automatically change the time for you. If you have a digital camera or cordless phone don’t forget to change the time on those too. Set your clocks before going to bed tonight to avoid confusion.
Take advantage of this time to do the little things around your home, such as change the batteries in the smoke detectors or replace that old, burnt-out bulb with a new power-saving bulb. Or be like me and get an extra hour of sleep ![]()

I’ll definitely be taking advantage of the extra hour of sleep….there are so many different things I need to set back, I’m sure I’ll forget at least one or two.
I almost forgot about that…but yeah, I will also be sleeping an extra hour…it’s Sunday baby!
I have a computer that is not connected to the internet that switched last week.
My cell phone takes care of it automatically - usually.
Thanks Leo … That puts our timezones an hour even further away …. helps to know when the other sides kippin though.
In my country we switched back to winter time last week :p
thanks for the reminder. I’m realizing that I have WAY too many clocks in my house.
Instead of getting the extra sleep, I got drunk enough that I don’t remember sleeping before work this morning.
Nothing like an extra hour of sleep… although I don’t have to get up ‘early’ for work, so it just means I’ll get my day started an ‘extra’ hour earlier… win win situation
I didn’t have to work until noon but I still woke up tired.
All my digital stuff changed last week it was horrible.
I hate daylight savings. The kids have no time outside. By the time they come home from school do homework and eat dinner its dark outside. I hate it because then they drive me nuts.
